As many of you know, I am the new Campaign Manager for Seattle Fashion Week; a title I carry with a whole new sense of pride after experiencing our preview party last Thursday. The event was held at Pacific Place, downtown Seattle, to give the public an intimate taste of what's to come for our October 2016 Seattle Fashion Week. It also was an in person opportunity to purchase tickets to our runway shows.
The night included a sneak peak look at what's to come on the runway, mingling with SFW staff, designers, and fashion influencers, live art, drinks, music and more. The turnout was amazing! It was exciting to see so many who are passionate about the industry come together and really make the event come to life.
The preview party was a great insight into the potential this organization has. Seattle isn't often looked at as a hub for fashion. So often brilliant creatives from the area feel they have to leave the city in order to thrive in their passions. The minds behind Seattle Fashion Week are changing all that and creating an organization to act as the axis between all things art, tech, and fashion within Seattle and beyond. The members at Seattle Fashion Week are working tirelessly to build a year round experience to celebrate and help foster a strong, inclusive, and uplifting community within fashion.
Seattle Fashion Week will be October 13th-15th and will be held at King Street and Union Station. Tickets are on sale on our website so be sure to RSVP to get yourself a seat and experience the rebirth of Seattle Fashion for yourself!
