Tea For Two
I recently turned 22 last month while in Sydney, and celebrated my very first ever summer birthday! Being born exactly a week before Christmas, the sun is a stranger to my birthday. This year however, I got to spend my 22nd on a warm Australian summer day, and what better way to take advantage of it than with a morning of High Tea in the Queen Victoria Building.
Before I go any further though, I have to talk about this amazing dress from Lover. Lover is an Australian based label in Sydney owned by Nic Briand and Susien Chong. They went from selling at a small market in Bondi Beach to now being seen on the red carpet, and worn by various celebrities. I've personally been in love with this label for over three years now but NEVER imagined I'd be owning one of their dresses. They're a little out of my wallets comfort zone but the quality and detail in these pieces definitely surpass the price tag.
The morning of my birthday, however, I opened my closet door in my tiny studio apartment to find this gorgeous piece from Lover hanging right before me. I stared at it for a second, not comprehending how the heck it got there, and then I whipped back over to look at Cj to see the biggest grin across his face. To this day, I have no idea how he managed to get me this dress. Everything he does is literally magic, and I've given up trying to understand how he does what he does.
We spent the late morning sipping on the yummiest tea and devouring little finger foods. The entire hour was spent laughing through fake fart noises and "hey look I'm a giant" comments. Another amazing birthday for the books.
